This is a fully restored 1967 Karmann Coupe 912 #461100 done in house by Porsche Tucson over the course of a six-month period in 2022. Provided with its Classic Technical Certificate, it was originally finished in Sand Beige (#6607) before being repainted in Gulf Blue Dark #6603 (which appeared on Porsche’s color palate four years before the iconic Gulf Blue featured most famously on the 917) and its original Beige Leatherette interior has been replaced by black leather with color matched trim pieces and a MOMO steering wheel. This vehicle was completed on December 23rd 1967 and had the following options, Front and Rear bumper horns, Tinted Glass, and Semperit tires (165/15). 1967 was also the first year of the iconic Porsche “Fusch” five spoke wheels which this vehicle wears, wrapped by 15in Michelin tires date coded 2021.This vehicle is numbers matching, still retaining its original Type 616/36 engine stamped #832652 and its original Type 902 four speed manual transaxle. This vehicle is also provided with an additional “ducktail” spoiler painted in the same hue and two keys. Besides a full respray, this vehicle has gone through an extensive mechanical restoration as well. Which includes but is not limited to, rebuilt Weber carburetors, a new crankshaft seal, new fuel and oil pressure lines, a new clutch assembly, complete set of gaskets and seals for the engine. Other items replaced during the restoration were a full re-haul of the braking system and suspension which included new pads and rotors front and rear, a new master cylinder and new shocks on all four corners, new sway bars with new end links and bushings and new ball joints and tie rod ends. This vehicle was also inspected to ensure all electrical components were working properly, in which many items were replaced such as the headlight lenses, and new bulbs for the brake lights and turn signals as well as the lights behind the VDO gages on the dashboard. All repairs were compiled into a list of repair orders, and can be provided upon request. 67 912 Some helpful resources on the 912 https://www.912registry.org/content.aspx?page_id=22&club_id=22055&module_id=185484 https://www.912bbs.org/forum/ http://www.lufteknic.com/legacy/info/912info.html https://www.stuttcars.com/porsche-912-1965-1969/ https://porschecarshistory.com/porsche-911912930-1965-1989-body-engine-identification/ https://www.cogscogs.com/Transmission-Type-Explanation_ep_9.html#:~:text=The%20transmission%20was%20used%20primarily,part%20of%20the%20overall%20design.
